- Debt is considered an asset. How collectible that debt is determines the value of the asset. If your bank is gone they would have sold off assets to settle debts to shareholders and creditors. Whomever purchased the debt is who you now owe the money too.

- Of course it is easy for me to damn them. I do not hold a policy with them nor does my company haven any loss exposure with them. I'm sure my 401K will take a bit of a hit because they are one of the DOW 30 but like it hasn't been taking hits for months. Ride it out I say.

- Thoughts of 9/11 still make me incredibly sad. I love this country, problems and all, and my anger over such a loss is still fresh. I can only hope that the families of the dead and the living victims are able to find a modicum of peace today. My warmest thoughts go out to them.

- I was in another comment forum on Businessweek. I'm not ultra tech savvy but many who posted were and the marks for Chrome were nothing to write home about. Granted it is a Beta but the general complaints was we have enough browsers what we need are more choices in OS.
